Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 60 minutes before departure. Airport check-in: for domestic flights, passengers must arrive at least 45 minutes before departure; for flights to Greenland passengers must arrive at least 90 minutes before departure; for international flights check-in at least 2 hours before departure.

A checked bag's total size (length + width + height) may not exceed 62 inches (158 cm), including handles and wheels. Maximum weight: 50 lbs (23 kg). Maximum dimensions (including handles and wheels): 21.6 x 15.7 x 7.8 inches (55 x 40 x 20 cm). Maximum weight: 22 lbs (10 kg).

Unaccompanied minors

On Icelandair's international flights, an Unaccompanied Minor is a child between the ages of 5 and 11 (11 inclusive) who a person does not accompany over the age of 12 who has the same booking status and can take full responsibility for the child. If necessary, an Unaccompanied Minor service can be arranged for passengers between the ages of 12 and 15 (15 inclusive). The same rules and fees apply to passengers with the mandatory Unaccompanied Minor service.

Infants

When traveling with an infant under two years (24 months), the infant does not need a seat because it will sit on the parent's lap. Suppose you wish to reserve a seat for an infant. Infants under the age of 2 receive a discount of up to 90% on Economy fares and up to 75% on Saga Premium fares. Infants in their seat get up to a 20% discount on airfares.

Pets

The airline only accepts animals in IATA-approved crates. Maximum crate dimensions are 36 inches/92 cm (length) x 25 inches/64 cm (width) x 27 inches/71 cm (height). The total weight of the animal and its crate may not exceed 88 lbs/40 kg.
