Check in rules
Check-in can be done in the following ways: online check-in, mobile check-in, airport check-in, and check-in via an app. Online check-in opens 48 hours to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Any check-in ends 30 minutes before the flight's departure time.

Each passenger is entitled to carry one piece of hand baggage not exceeding 23 cm width x 34 cm height x 48 cm length and not exceeding a total weight of 5 kg (Fokker 50) and 7 kg (Fokker 70/100). Every passenger occupying a paying seat on domestic or international flights is entitled to a free baggage allowance not exceeding 20 kg. Any piece of baggage may not exceed the total linear dimensions (width plus height plus length) of 158cm.

Children ages 5-11 can travel alone with the sporadic service. Young people aged 12 to 14 years (inclusive) can travel with unaccompanied minor status if their parent or guardian requires it. In addition, a parent or guardian can email Flights@allianceairlines.com.au about unaccompanied travel for a child 12-17 years old. No additional assistance is provided, but the crew will be notified that the passenger is on board.

Infants are considered to be children under two years of age. They can travel for free by traveling on an adult's lap. No space is allocated for an infant. Cradles are not available on Alliance aircraft. One infant is allowed per adult.

Airlines allow small cats and dogs within the 48 United States. However, travel to international destinations and U.S. territories is not permitted with all pets. The airline recommends a padded carrier. The carrier can be no larger than 9 inches in x 16 inches wide x 19 inches long and be fully enclosed. There should be no more than two pets per carrier. The pet carrier counts as a maximum of 2 items that can be carried on an airplane.
