Check in rules

IndiGo Check-in can be done online (via the website or IndiGo mobile app) or at the airport. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before IndiGo departure. Online check-in is available for customers from 48 hours to 1 hour before a domestic flight and 24 hours to 75 minutes before an international flight.

Baggage

On domestic flights, the checked baggage rate is 32 pounds/15 kg per passenger; on IndiGo international flights, it is 44 pounds/20 kg, 55 pounds/25 kg, or 66 pounds/30 kg per passenger, depending on the destination. The maximum IndiGo carry-on baggage weight is 115 cm and 7 kg on international and domestic flights.

Unaccompanied minors

5–12 years – 'Flying Solo' service is available, and child can travel on all IndiGo flights. Children between the age of 5 (five) and 12 (twelve) years, as on the date of travel must either be accompanied by a companion aged 18 (eighteen) years or more, as on the date of travel, or must book Flying Solo service.

Infants

Children over three days old and under two years old on the date of travel may travel as infants. Infants may fly without a seat on the IndiGo plane, on the lap of an accompanying adult. If you wish, you can buy a seat on the plane for an infant at the infant fare. Children over two years of age must have their seat on the plane. If one adult travels with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.
