Check in rules

Registration can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure. Online check-in opens 22 hours before departure (at Billund airport 12 hours before departure).

Baggage

The allowed amount of checked baggage depends on the type of your ticket. Some of our ticket types include one piece of checked baggage weighing up to 23 kg. Infants under two years of age traveling without a ticket are allowed 5 kg of check-in baggage. You can also take one stroller with you.

Unaccompanied minors

A UM (Unaccompanied Minor) is a child between the age of 5 and 11 that is traveling without the accompaniment of an adult (person at least 16 years of age). From the age of five and until their 12th birthday Can travel unaccompanied – there will be personnel that will care for the child from check-in until an agreed-upon adult collects the child at the destination. On all DAT routes there is a fixed individual UM-price. Children more than 12 years of age May travel alone but must pay the applicable adult fare. One can – if desired – reserve a UM ticket for children op to 15 years of age.

Infants

Infants can only travel with an adult and it is only allowed to bring one infant per adult. Infants (children under the age of 2) are to sit on the lap of the adult. The infant will not be assigned a seat of its own. The adult will receive a special extension belt for infants.

Pets

Small pets can travel in the cabin with DAT if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 8 kg. Animals who exceed the limit to travel in the cabin may be accepted for transport as freight instead. 2 animals can travel in the same carrier if they are used to each other and weigh a maximum of 30 lbs (14 kg) each. A maximum of 3 animals less than six months old from the same litter can be transported together.
