You can check in at the airport or online. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure. The minimum time required to check in, drop off your baggage, and board at CityJet may vary depending on the airport of departure and destination. Boarding for CityJet flights closes at the following times: 15 minutes before scheduled departure for domestic CityJet flights in the United States; 30 minutes before departure for most international CityJet flights to/from the United States. Some non-U.S. airports close 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Passengers are allowed to carry one piece of carry-on baggage along with one personal item. The weight of CityJet baggage may not exceed 12 kg. An individual item may be a camera bag, laptop, briefcase, or purse. The size of CityJet's carry-on luggage differs for different planes. For ATR aircraft, the dimensions will be 47.5 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm. For Avro RJ85 aircraft, the measurements will be 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm. The airline allows you to carry one piece of checked baggage. The weight of the baggage must not exceed 20 kg. Additional baggage allowance can be purchased at the time of booking.

An unaccompanied minor is a child between 5 and 12 years of age who is not accompanied on the same flight or in a compartment by a passenger age 15 or older or by a parent regardless of age. Children under 5 years of age are not allowed on unaccompanied flights. Unaccompanied minors may only travel on non-stop flights. They are not allowed on connecting flights or direct City Jet flights

Infants are considered to be children under two years of age. A parent or any person 16 years of age or older may hold an infant on their lap, provided that the infant is included in the passenger's CityJet reservation. Options for lap seats may be limited on some flights. A ticket must be purchased for infants traveling in a separate seat. A reserved seat is required for transportation in a safety seat or there must be an available seat next to you. If a vacant adjacent seat is not available, a boarding agent will check the safety seat to your final destination
