Check in rules

Registration can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends two hours before departure. On flights: Paramaribo, Georgetown, Port of Spain, Curacao, Aruba, Miami, Belém, Cayenne, and Miami Orlando, check-in counters open 3:30 and close one hour before departure. On flights: Paramaribo - Amsterdam check-in counters start 5 hours and end 2 hours before flight departure.

Passengers are allowed a maximum size of 55 cm x 40 m x 25 cm and weighing up to 10 kg of hand luggage. The maximum weight of checked baggage in economy class is 23 kg (regional routes) and 24 kg (Mid - Atlantic Route). Maximum weight of checked baggage in business class - two bags 23 kg (Regional routes) and 32 kg (Mid - Atlantic Route). Maximum size - up to 158 cm (sum of all measurements).

Children under two years of age are considered infants. Infants younger than seven days old are not allowed on the flight. Infants do not need a separate seat. They may travel on the lap of an accompanying adult. For example, one adult may travel with two infants. Transportation of pets is subject to applicable excess baggage rates. Surinam Airways only recognizes cats and dogs as pets. Pets must be transported in a suitable kennel or a special pet travel bag with a maximum size of 43 cm L x 31 cm W x 20 cm. The total weight of the kennel and pet together must not exceed 4 kg. The kennel may not contain more than one pet. In the luggage compartment, your pet must be transported in a suitable kennel with a minimum size of 157 cm and a maximum size of 406 cm. The total weight of the kennel and pet may not exceed 55 kg.
