Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 48 hours before departure and ends three hours before departure. Check-in desks open two hours before departure and close 45 minutes before departure.

Baggage

The airline allows its passengers on both domestic and international flights one free carry-on baggage. However, it must not exceed 10 kg and 40 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm. The maximum weight of checked baggage is 20 kg, size - up to 158 cm (sum of all dimensions).

Unaccompanied minors

Children over the age of 12 can travel alone. The airline provides an escort service for minors. The service is compulsory and is provided at the request of parents/guardians.

Infants

A child between 14 days old and two years old is considered an infant and may travel on a parent's lap. Each adult passenger (over 18 years of age) may only carry one infant on their lap, subject to applicable fees. Infants do not have a separate seat and must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. The fee on international flights is 10% of the regular adult fare.

Pets

Viva Air Colombia only accepts six pets on each flight. Viva Air Colombia accepts pets in the cabin on domestic flights if the pet's total weight and the carrier's weight do not exceed 8 kg. Each passenger is allowed one pet in the cabin. Carriers for pets traveling in the cabin may not exceed the dimensions of 55cm x 35cm x 25cm. All pets must be at least eight weeks old.
