Oman Air was founded on June 4, 1993. It is Oman's flagship carrier. It is headquartered at Muscat International Airport, Muscat, Oman. It is also the airline's main hub. Check in rules

Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in can be completed between 24 hours and 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Passengers can also check-in for a connecting/returning Oman Air flight if the flight departs during this time window. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Passengers are allowed one piece of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg in economy class and two pieces of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg each in first and business class. Each piece of hand baggage may not exceed the maximum dimensions of 115 cm (length + height + width). Free baggage allowance: First and Business Class - 2 pieces weighing up to 50 kg total; Economy Class - 2 pieces weighing up to 30 kg total. Linear dimensions of each seat must not exceed 158 cm.

Unaccompanied minors

Children over the age of five can travel alone. A minors' escort service is compulsory for children 5-12 years old. For children over 12 years old, the minors' escort service is not compulsory and can be booked at parents' request.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Infants may fly without a seat on the plane, on the lap of an accompanying adult. If you wish, you can buy a seat on the plane for an infant at the infant fare. Air travel is not recommended during the first seven days after birth. Infants less than seven days old are allowed only for medical emergencies with an approved medical certificate. Only one infant is allowed per adult passenger.

Pets

Oman Air does not allow live animals on any flights. However, pets can be carried as luggage. A maximum of two pets per passenger is allowed. Two adult pets of comparable size and weighing up to 14 kg (30 lbs) may travel in the same crate. Three pets under the age of six months from the same litter weighing up to 14 kg (30 lbs) each may be transported in the same crate.
