Philippines AirAsia was founded in 2010 and started operations in 2012. It is a joint venture between AirAsia and local filipino business men. The airline operates under the same low cost model as its parent company, starting operations with single class 180 seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline is headquartered in Manila and has operating bases at Cebu, Clark and Manila. The fleet today comprises over two dozen aircraft flying to more than 25 domestic and regional destinations .

Check in rules
Check-in can be done online or at the airport. Online check-in allows you to check in up to 7 days before your flight and up to 4 hours before. The airport check-in desk opens 2 hours before your scheduled departure time and closes 45 minutes before your departure time.

All passengers (except infants) are allowed two pieces of carry-on baggage on board. One piece of hand baggage may not exceed 56 cm (H) X 36 cm (W) X 23 cm (D). One laptop bag, one carry-on bag, or one small purse: may not exceed 40cm (H) X 30cm (W) X 10cm (L). Each airline ticket has its free baggage policy. Checked-in baggage items may not exceed 15 kg (available on domestic flights only), 20 kg, 25 kg, 30 kg, 40 kg

Children aged 12 to 16 years can travel alone on domestic and international flights subject to certain conditions. Children between the ages of 16 and 18 may travel alone and be considered adult passengers without additional privileges. However, they cannot accompany a child under the age of 12. Unaccompanied minors must be escorted to the airport of departure and met at the point of intermediary stop and upon arrival by the persons listed on the Unaccompanied Minor Form

Infants at least 16 days old may be allowed to travel. Infants (under two years of age) may travel without a seat in the cabin. According to the rules, infants who are two years old at the time of the return flight must have a seat for safety reasons. Passengers who need to use cradles should make reservations and make the necessary arrangements at least 24 hours before their departure date. The airline follows a "one infant per adult" policy.

The following pets are allowed: cats, dogs, and birds. Brachycephalic or snub-nosed dogs are not allowed as check-in baggage on all PAL flights. Passengers can carry animals over the age of 12 years. Pets are not included in your free baggage allowance and are automatically considered excess baggage, even if the passenger has no other baggage.
