The airline was originally founded as Just Us Air in 2017. It mainly operated as a charter airline and as an aircraft leasing company. The company rebranded as Dan Air in 2023 with the aim of offering scheduled low cost passenger services under its own name. The airline is based at Bucharest's Henri Coanda International Airport and operates a small fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft.
