Registration can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 60 minutes before departure. Registration desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

West Air Check-in rules

With the purchase of the Comfort Economy class, you can bring hand baggage weighing not more than 7 kg and having dimensions not more than 20cm×40cm×55cm. If purchased in the Comfort Economy class, you may bring your hand baggage which weighs no more than 7kg and has dimensions no larger than 40cm×30cm×20cm. Dimensions of checked baggage may not exceed 40 cm × 60 cm × 100 cm. The free baggage allowance is 20 kg.

West Air Baggage rules

Unaccompanied minors between the ages of 5 and 12 must be registered as unaccompanied minors. The Unaccompanied Minor service is free, but a full adult fare is charged on international and regional routes and a child fare on domestic flights. Children between 12 and 15 also benefit from this service, but in exceptional circumstances requiring advance arrangement. The Unaccompanied Minor service is free on domestic flights, and a fee is charged on regional and international flights.

Unaccompanied minors in West Air

An infant under two years of age may travel free of charge if the infant is on another passenger's lap during the flight. Children under two years of age do not need a separate seat. Only passengers 15 years or older may carry an infant on their lap. Only one lap baby is allowed per adult. If one adult is traveling with more than one infant under two years of age, a separate seat must be purchased for each additional infant.

West Air Infants policy

Airlines allow tiny dogs or cats to travel in the cabin on flights departing from Guangzhou, Qingdao, Changsha, Haikou, and Xiamen. Pets must weigh no more than 5 kg, including the carrier, which must not exceed 35 cm in length, 28 cm in width, and 24 cm in height.
