Toki Air is a newly established Japanese regional airline. It was established in 2020 and started operations in 2023. The airline is based at Niigata airport. The airline started off with 7 domestic regional routes operated by two new ATR 72-600 aircraft. Toki Air has also ordered the newly developed ATR 42-600S which is tailored towards very short runway operations. These are planned for an early 2025 delivery and will enable operations to airports with runways as short as 800 meters. Toki Air operates all its aircraft in a single class all economy layout.

Check in rules

Toki Air offers a streamlined check-in process starting 24 hours before flight and up until 35 minutes prior to departure, you can conveniently check in online. Enter your 6-digit alphanumeric confirmation number and last name on the airline's homepage to begin the process. Once you've successfully checked in, a boarding pass in PDF format will be sent to your registered email. Toki Air's airport counters are also available. Check-in opens 90 minutes before and closes 30 minutes prior to your flight's departure. Bring the reservation confirmation slip you received via email, along with your reservation number and full name. Checked baggage is accepted, and any excess baggage will require a payment, which can be made via credit card.

Baggage

Toki Air passengers are allowed to bring personal items like handbags, cameras, and umbrellas, along with one piece of baggage per person, provided it doesn't exceed 10kg and its dimensions are within 45cm x 35cm x 20cm, with a total of 3 sides within 100cm. However, due to storage limitations on board, even appropriately sized baggage might be stored in the cargo hold as checked baggage. It's advisable to drop off your baggage at least 30 minutes before departure, especially during peak travel times like holidays and vacation periods. For checked baggage, each piece can measure up to 50cm x 60cm x 120cm, with a weight limit of 20kg per person. There's no limit on the number of items, and long items like skis and surfboards up to 210cm are accepted. If your baggage exceeds 20kg, you can check in up to 45kg by paying an excess fee.
