Registration can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 90 minutes before departure (Except for Luanda, where you can check in online 5-24 hours before your flight's departure). Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

Portugalia Check-in rules

Passengers are allowed to take on board hand luggage with a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm, and weighing up to 8 kg. You can also take one personal item of 40 x 30 x 15 cm, weighing up to 2 kg. Individual checked bags may not exceed maximum linear dimensions of 158 cm. Checked bags for Executive or Top Executive fares may weigh up to 32 kg per item, and all other fares, no more than 23 kg.

The unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for a child age 5-11 traveling without an adult. Children ages 12-17 are not required to travel as unaccompanied minors, but the service is also optional for this age group.

Infants are passengers under the age of 24 months. Infants do not need a separate seat. They can travel on the lap of an accompanying adult. The cost of flights is 10% of the regular adult fare. If one adult travels with two infants, you must purchase a child ticket for one or more added infants.

Portugalia Infants policy

Portugalia Airlines allows small cats and dogs to travel in the cabin on select flights. Pets and their carriers must not exceed 8 kg. The maximum dimensions must not exceed 40 cm x 33 cm x 17 cm. Portugalia Airlines allows pets in the hold, as long as there is enough space, and the aircraft and cabin are suitable. Pets and carriers with a combined weight under 32 kg on flights to/from or stopping over in the USA, Hungary, France, and the Netherlands can travel in the hold.
