Austrian Airlines check-in is available online, via mobile app, and at the airport (check-in desks, check-in kiosks). Online check-in and check-in via mobile app open 47 hours before departure. It is also possible to check in at the terminals in Vienna. The Austrian Airlines City Terminal offers the option of checking in and dropping off your baggage at the baggage drop-off point in the city center.

Baggage

The maximum size of Austrian Airlines checked baggage is 158 cm (height + width + length), and the weight - is not more than 23 kg or 32 kg in business class. Unaccompanied minors

For an additional fee, the Austrian Airlines provides an escort service for minors. Assistance is mandatory for children between the ages of five and eleven, but can also be booked for children under the age of 17. Children are not allowed to travel alone on connecting flights. Minor accompanying service is mandatory for children between the ages of five and eleven but can also be booked for children under the age of 17. In addition to the airfare, an assistance fee is charged for the unaccompanied minor service for each child and each leg of the journey.

Infants

We consider children younger than two years to be infants. Ten percent of the adult fare (infant fare) is normally charged for infants at Austrian Airlines. Please note that infants are not entitled to their own seat. If you would like your infant to have a separate seat, please contact Austrian Airlines Service Centre before booking.

Pets

Up to two pets may be transported in Austrian Airlines flight. Pet must be at least twelve weeks old. The pet may be transported in the cabin and/or in the cargo area, depending on your pet's size and weight. Transporting large animals to specific destinations in the cargo area is impossible. The shipping container must be padded, bite-resistant, and airtight. The total weight of the pet and the carrying container must not exceed 8 kg, and the maximum size of the total volume is 118 cm (55 x 40 x 23 cm).
