Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online registration begins 24 hours before departure and ends 40 minutes before departure. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Passengers traveling in Thai Airways are allowed to carry at least two checked baggage along with them. Baggage weight for domestic flights: passengers of Royal Silk Class are allowed to carry 40 kg; for the premium economy class you can enjoy the baggage weight limit of 30 kg; passengers of economy class can also carry baggage up to 30 kg; except RBD in which the weight limit is 20 kg.

Unaccompanied minors

Children over the age of five can travel alone. The airline provides an accompanying service for minors. The service is mandatory for children aged 5 to 11 and optional for children aged 12 to 17. THAI allows only children aged 8 to 11 to travel as unaccompanied minors in Business Class and First Class.

Infants

Children up to two years old (24 months) are not required to have their own seat. Only one lap child is allowed per adult. If one adult is traveling with more than one infant under two years of age, a seat will have to be purchased for each additional infant. A child under two years old (24 months) is charged a percentage of an adult fare plus taxes, even if the infant will be on the lap of another passenger for the flight.

Pets

Animals can fly as checked baggage on a number of Thai Airways flights if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 32 kg. For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must not exceed dimensions 137 cm x 68 cm x 83 cm.
