The main hubs are Beijing-Capital, Beijing-Daxing, and Chengdu-Shuangliu. Secondary hubs are Shanghai-Pudong. Check in rules

Air China offers its passengers three methods of check-in: check-in counter, check-in kiosk, and online check-in. Check-in closing time depends on the type of flight (international or domestic) as well as the departure airport. Airports throughout China: 30-45 minutes before departure for domestic flights, 30-60 minutes before departure for international flights. International and regional airports: 40-60 minutes before departure for international flights.

Baggage

Restrictions on the size of each piece of Air China baggage: the total dimensions (length + width + height, including wheels and handles) of each piece of checked baggage may not exceed 203 cm and may not be less than 60 cm (24 inches). Restrictions on the dimensions of each piece of free checked baggage: on domestic flights, the total dimensions (length + width + height, including wheels and handles) of each free piece cannot exceed 100 cm; on international/regional flights, the total dimensions (length + width + height, including wheels and handles) of each free checked baggage piece cannot exceed 158 cm. Baggage exceeding the above limits must be separated and checked in separately.

Unaccompanied minors

Minors over the age of 5 but under the age of 12 on the day of the Air China flight who are traveling alone are eligible for Air China's unaccompanied minors service. Unaccompanied minors between the ages of 12 and 18 who have no medical condition and deaf/blind passengers between the ages of 16 and 18 who are traveling alone may apply for the Unaccompanied Minors Service by themselves. The fee for unaccompanied minors consists of the cost of the ticket and the service charge. For minors over the age of 5 and under 12, the child fare on domestic routes in China is 50% of the standard fare on the same flight

Infants

An infant between 14 days old and 2 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older during the Air China journey. For safety reasons, babies less than 14 days old or premature babies less than 90 days old are not accepted. Each adult passenger may take up to two infants (one infant is entitled to a child fare and the other must travel on a child ticket and occupy a separate seat), or 1 infant and 2 children, or 1 sick infant. The fare for an infant under 2 years of age per day of travel is 10% of the regular adult fare, and no space is provided for an infant.

Pets

Each Air China flight is limited to one container of live animals, and each container is limited to one live animal. The total weight of each container of live animals (including the weight of small animals, food and water) must not exceed 32 kg, otherwise it must be carried as cargo. Cats and dogs born not more than 8 weeks ago; cats and dogs during pregnancy or breastfeeding; cats and dogs within 7 days of delivery are not accepted. Small animals are not allowed directly into the cabin. They must be transported in the cargo hold as checked baggage. Small animals are classed as special baggage and are charged according to special baggage fee standards.
