Liz Aviation, based in Lomé, marked its inaugural 2023 flight in Burkina Faso, connecting the capital Ouagadougou to Bobo Dioulasso. As a subsidiary of Liza Transport International, Liz Aviation has leased two ATR72-600s, each with a 70-seat all-economy class configuration, from the Singaporean lessor, Avation. These aircraft, initially delivered as 2-FBXA (msn 1260) and 2-FBXB (msn 1277) from Toulouse Francazal, France, to Lomé, Togo, have one turboprop now re-registered as XT-LIZ. Liz Aviation plans to operate transborder flights between Togo and Burkina Faso, with four weekly flights linking Lomé and Niamtougou in Togo to Ouagadougou. The airline's broader vision encompasses enhancing domestic connectivity within Burkina Faso, establishing consistent flights to other sub-regional countries, and rejuvenating the aviation sector as a catalyst for economic growth.
