Ryukyu Air Commuter (RAC) operates this special combi version of the Dash 8 Q400 for Japan Airlines. RAC is based on Okinawa and operates from its hub at Naha airport. The airline operates more than 40 daily flights to islands of the region offering crucial passenger and cargo capacity. In addition to its 50 seat passenger capacity, these Dash 8 Q400 can also transport up to 3700kg (8200lb) of cargo. These aircraft are especially valuable during the typhoon season when sea routes become difficult to operate.
