Pros:

Comfortable seat and decent legroom A variety of drink and snack options

Cons:

The alignment of the window in this seat meant that the wall of the plane took up more space and made me feel cramped between the side of the plane and the person next to me.

Pros:

Extra leg space in economy comfort is nice

Cons:

The entertainment unit takes up a lot of under the seat space, leaving an area about half the size as the window and middle seat. It's about 7 or 8 inches wide and was insufficient to fit my only bag, a personal item sized backpack, due to its normal width. I had to take out my three packing cubes and stuff them into limited space around the rollaboards in multiple overhead bins to avoid checking it.

Pros:

Sat in 1A & 1B - I am 6'0", 235 and was very comfortable - plenty of leg room and nobody reclining in my lap. Crew as usual was awesome.

Cons:

Something about first on the 737-8 is the seats feel like they are very upright - almost as if you are sitting forward a bit - in the take off position - seems to be something only with these 800s. Also, very old plane with useless IFE - but it was a short hop to Atlanta, not a big deal

Pros:

seat width is great.

Cons:

Unlike any other airplane model I have ridden, in the 737-800 this first class seat does not recline any more than coach. Due to my bad back, I have to fly first for the extra recline. Also, the upper portion of the seat pushed my head and upper back forward. Good thing I had a pillow!
